Why is this tagged with ‘Malaysia’? How the Devil does it have anything to do with our country? Do you people not understand how tagging works?
Stop flooding the ‘Malaysia’ tag with unrelated posts kthx
The laid back, smiling culture of Malaysia is the backdrop for a vibrant street art movement that’s gaining worldwide attention.
…several quotations about street art itself. Almost as if the artists themselves were trying to educate people that street art is good, and has a purpose.

here goes my free speech : SELAMAT HARI RAYA!!! XDDD where do u study at, may I ask? Hahah, Selamat Hari Raya to you too my friend. c: I go to KTJ (Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar). I’ll take photos sometime; it’s a beautiful place. |
Expect more ominous silences. (I go to a boarding school in an obscure little town in West Malaysia.) I will try, however, to make some Raya-related posts. It’s only one of the noisiest, most lemang-packed celebrations of the year in our crazy little country. Raya is serious business.

ringgits are already braille-friendly. they have those raised indentations in the top left hand corner. Oh, that’s right, I forgot about the Braille dots on our notes. Thanks for the reminder. |
More than 500 people participated in a water pistol fight organized on Facebook in Tehran, only for the authorities to arrest some participants after ruling their actions abnormal and un-Islamic.
Damn Tehran authorities, you crazy.
…
Who else thinks an organized large-scale water-pistol fight in KL would be bloody incredible?
Third Series of Malaysian Coins
Love them. The idea of incorporating the Braille system into coins is brilliant; I love the fact that the government is seeking out measures to help our disabled countrymen assimilate. (The design is very pretty too, especially the 50 sen coin.) Now, how do we go about making ringgit notes and public roads more usable for them?
Tuesday the 9th of August will be the International Day of the World’s Indigenous People (or, as I prefer to call it, Indigenous Day). Click through to read about it on the UN website.
Please, everyone. It may not seem like much, but the littlest things contribute towards a great end. One man set himself on fire in Tunisia and the entire region of North Africa and the Middle East revolted. One Archduke got assassinated in Serbia and World War One ensued. You can help save millions of lives in just a minute of your time.
Go find something cool on this blog.
I want to go to Malaysia now.
Well hey, thanks! :) I’ll be sure to welcome you with the best selection of mi goreng. None of that packeted stuff you’ve been eating :)
never thought of it like that…
What say you to a hypothetical proposal to the Ministry to develop more bike paths for our local bicycle enthusiasts?
“Our philosophy is simple. Have an idea. Realize it in its naked form.”
Material Poetry, by young Malaysian artist-entrepreneur (do forgive the crass term) Mike Tan, is quite possibly the most quietly ingenious menswear line I have seen in an age. Minimalist in appearance, heavy on the poetry. Visit the website to be inspired by not only a soft white layout and beautifully-made shirts but also information on a number of ongoing projects and some poetry.
